Understanding Your Brochure Printing Project With HP

For small businesses, there’s a limit to your budget especially when you are just starting. Compared to other established and big businesses, your budget would not be enough to finance flashy and awesome marketing materials.

However, your brochure printing doesn’t necessarily need so much money for you to be able to get quality and effective results. You don’t need a big amount to come up with your very own cost effective marketing medium. Instead of hiring professional graphic designers and brochure printing companies to develop your small business’ design and layout, why not do it yourself? Not only does it save you precious money that can be allocated to other projects, but you could also create something that is really more suitable to your needs and business personality.

HP did just that- they provided a “How To” guide that shows small business owners an alternative way of creating professional quality brochures fast and with less costs. HP took the initiative of providing advice and suggestions on how to target your potential clients, as well as help you plan your message and ideas. They even provided templates and paper resources that are easy-to-use and would aid in getting the attention you deserve. The website is all about understanding small businesses and how you could better understand your own through your brochures to achieve success.

The benefits and other suggestions can be viewed at HP’s website: http://www.hp.com/sbso/productivity/howto/marketing_main/marketing_brochure/understand_it.html.

A Home for Small Businesses at HP

Businesses, big or small, established or a newbie, have shaped greatly today’s economic environment. In fact, small businesses particularly are getting a big share of the pie when it comes to the hiring of employees from the private sector. And for the last decade, small businesses have contributed 60 to 80 percent (net) to the huge number of new jobs available today.

It was joyful day indeed for small businesses when HP honored the small businesses and their contributions to economy during an event held at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. During the affair, HP launched new products, solutions and other resources created with small businesses in mind.

HP is living up to the standards of excellence that the company is known for. For many years now, HP is known to many small and mid sized companies worldwide as the foremost provider and manufacturer of business tools such as desktops, printers, and servers.

And to better serve small and mid sized companies to jumpstart their business and even boost more sales, HP introduced a “new home” on HP.com. Known as the “Small Business Connection Website”, it will serve as a personal “welcome room” for small business owners. The home would be a site for small businesses to get to know better the available HP products and solutions especially created for their needs. Small business owners can sign up for online classes offered for free, easily download business templates, say their opinions during online polls, and find out stories from other small companies and learn from their experiences.

To find out more on the small business website, you could log on to HP.com.

I Got Flyers In My Pocket

They are everywhere. It’s the invasion of the society of flyers-mongers. Just go to any event show or seminar or promotional gigs, you could see flyers stuffed in every nook and cranny available.

I was in one of the event shows of printing companies just recently. And boy, do they really get themselves worked up during these events. No need to announce that they are digital printers. The huge amount of flyers scattered everywhere are evidence enough.

Not only are they spread like carpet all over the floor, print flyers were strewn everywhere- on the slots of doorways, stacked on tabletops, pinned in every inch space of every bulletin board put up during the event. They’re even flung by over eager people of every company that joined this affair.

Because of their proliferation, flyer printing has definitely become mandatory in every event or trade show. They are easily the most pocketable reference material on every business that gets to showcase in these events. In addition, flyers are unquestionably THE promotional material during these times. They’re not only easier to keep (just put it in your pocket), but they’re also portable. You could just stack pile them anywhere. And you don’t need to take stock of their whereabouts. Sure enough they’ll show up some place else just because people were able to slip them inside their clothes and carry the flyers with them.

Flyers get a thumbs up when it comes to visibility and accessibility. But as promotion for a greener and well preserved planet, well that’s another story.

 Postcard Printing Online

Just a few weeks away from the 4th of July and already most of the companies I know that provides great postcard printing are heavily booked. I have to sort through so many digital postcard printing companies online and scour the good ones from the fly-by-night and all their grandiose promises.

But patience does get you rewarded. After so many time and effort wasted, I finally found, called and got an online printing business to do my postcard printing for me despite the heavy bulk of work they have.

This online postcard printing company is different from the others that I’ve tried before. In addition to bulk orders, they do provide quality rush printing jobs. What’s more, they offer competitive rates at a fast turnaround time of just 2 days! That’s a definite plus in my book.

So after 2 days, I finally got my print postcards from PrintPlace.com. And everything turned out the way I pictured my postcards. The graphic design I provided the postcard printing company came out like the original pieces that I copied them from. With brilliant colors and artful images, my postcards look like mini versions of a master work of art found in museums.

And they didn’t just stop there. This postcard printer even went further and put the finishing touch with aqueous coaters to add that extra glossy look.

Thank you PrintPlace.com. Thank you very much.

Spidey, Transformers, Pirates 3: A Battle of Computer Graphics

Best movie graphics in 2007? I say it is a toss up between Spiderman III, Pirates of the Carribean 3 and Transformers. I have not seen the Transformers movie yet but I have seen its trailer and I reckon the movie graphics are pretty awesome. I have seen Spidey III and I was more impressed with the graphics more than the plot. There were a few instances though were I felt Spidey was a bit ‘cartoony.’ The look and feel of some scenes particularly when Spidey swings through the highways did not feel right. I felt like watching a cartoon flick in some of the scenes. But don’t get me wrong, the computer graphics is still impressive! Pirates of the Carribean well c'mon. We're talking about the great Jerry here! Let's say I was in awe with the effects and by the time the movie ended, I wanted to become a pirate too!

Digital technology is incredible. I mean, you can recreate lost civilizations, a sinking ship, a giant gorilla or a war from a desktop computer. It is really a far cry from the graphics of before where everything seems artificial and fake. Just compare the King Kong of before who looks like an overgrown paper mache and the King Kong of today whose nostrils even flares when he gets agitated.

The future will certainly offer more. I can just imagine the kids of the future scoffing at our King Kong today, like what I’m doing now.
